Let's Change Literary Publishing.
There was a point several years ago when travel agents were no longer necessary, and it seemed like an overnight transition. Was it because people were no longer travelling, maybe because they were scared of terrorist attacks? No. It was because travel agents extended beyond the people's needs. For the super rich, concierge services were used, and credit card services started offering more and more oppurtunities to their members that replaced what travel agents did. Likewise, the new onslaught of travel websites created better deals for the masses, so that travel agents could no longer compete. I feel that the time where literary agents are necessary is slowly dissolving. In the future, NewtonLocke.com will be home to some of the most successful authors, musicians and directors in the world, so much so that publishing houses wouldn't hesitate to take them on because they were guarenteed to succeed. We offer some of the best percentages in the industry (authors and musicians sometimes make less than 10% of the market value of the work because of agents, managers and publishing fees). We are here to change the world, and offer jobs to those without working experience. Help us redefine how people work, and how people live.
